Brief description of the document including objective and scope:
This Decree is applied to the deliberate release of living modified organisms for any other purpose than for placing on the market when the criteria for differentiated procedure are met. Such simplified  procedure can be applied if sufficient experience has been obtained of the release of the LMO in certain ecosystems and if the LMO meets the criteria specified in the Decree. Sufficient knowledge is required of the parental organism and the modified trait as well the interactions and safety of the LMO for the health of humans and animals and for the environment in the environment of the release.
